Using a third-party email provider with your own domain

Register or own a custom domain

  1. Visit client.reyalizedigital.com
  2. Click ‘domains”
  3. Click “register a domain”
  4. Enter your desired domain name and click “continue”

Use this platform to manage your subscriptions, invoices and more.

Choose an email hosting provider

  1. Popular options include Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and others.
  2. Sign up for your chosen provider and begin the process of adding your custom domain to their platform. 
  3. Log into your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace Admin console, navigate to “Domains,” and click “Add a domain”

 Verify domain ownership

  1. The provider will ask you to prove you own the domain. This usually involves adding a TXT or CNAME record (provided by the email host) to your domain’s DNS settings at your domain registrar or hosting provider.
  2. Microsoft 365: + add domain > enter your domain. Click “Use this domain”
  3.  Click “Add a TXT record” and open a new window in your browser.

Access your Hosting Control Panel

  1. Visit reyalizehosting.com
  2. Enter your login and password
  3. Click “Log in”

Configure DNS records for email routing

  1. MX Records: Update your domain’s MX records to point to your email provider’s mail servers. 

  2. SPF, DKIM, DMARC: Add or update TXT and CNAME records for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to improve email deliverability and security.

  3. Other Records: Some providers may require additional CNAME or A records for services like autodiscover, mail, or webmail access.

  4. Are you using Microsoft 365 for email?
    → Remove the CNAME records for imap, pop, and smtp if you no longer use your own mail server.
    → Add the Microsoft 365-specific records (such as the autodiscover CNAME and the correct MX record).

Create email accounts

  1. In your email provider’s admin panel, create the desired email addresses (e.g., info@yourcompany.com, sales@yourcompany.com)
  2. Test your email setup
  3. (Optional) Connect to Email Clients. Configure your preferred email clients (Outlook, Apple Mail, Gmail, etc.) using the IMAP/SMTP settings provided by your email host, or use webmail access
